What Is The ASE & Why Does This Matter?
The ASE is the nickname for the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence. The ASE is the only nationally recognized organization that tests and trains professionals in the auto repair industry.
To become ASE Certified, a technician (mechanic) must complete extensive training, display experience and pass rigorous testing. As an ASE Certified Technician earns additional certifications in multiple areas, they earn the ASE Master Technician status.
